Beeple Studios Second Event is in Collaboration with Gibbes Museum!

Pioneering digital artist Beeple announced a second Beeple Studios event yesterday. Beeple Studios will partner with Gibbes Museum to host the event on April 29 as part of the Art Charleston festival. What should art fans expect from the exhibit?

What do we know about the second Beeple Studios event?

The event will showcase artwork from a curated list of new and returning artists. Beeple himself will hold a performance to create a new piece for his “Everydays” collection. Proceeds from ticket sales will help the Gibbes Museum to continue offering events and programming for the local Charlestown community.

The festivities will take place in Beeple’s art studio, a 50,000 SF space that also features a 13,000 SF gallery and 13,000 SF of experiential space. Beeple opened the studio to “showcase the very best art and communities” and host “events that help to educate and entertain around web3 and digital art.”

What happened during the first event?

The first Beeple Studios event was a smash hit with attendees. Beeple partnered with Christie’s to curate an experience featuring creations from XCOPY, Dee Kay Motion, Coldie, FVCKRENDER, and other historically significant NFT artists. Beeple also created 51 new works of art himself in just over one hour.

The show leaned heavily into fun instead of formality. Celebrity look-alikes for Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and other common subjects of Beeple’s work mingled and took pictures with guests. Huge TV screens covered walls and helped create a dream-like setting for the event.

If the second event is anything like the first, then guests are in for a treat. Not only will they have the opportunity to see work from some of today’s greatest artists, but will also have the chance to feel like part of a newly-formed, growing art scene thanks to Web3 leaders like Beeple.
