Matt Hougan and Tom Lee believe crypto may be entering a stronger institutional bull market despite recent volatility in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Tom Lee points to Bitcoin reclaiming its 200-day moving average, improving ETF flows, and Ethereum’s strong recovery as signs that the market may have already turned.
His biggest conviction is Ethereum. Lee believes tokenization, institutional adoption, AI agents, and Wall Street moving financial assets onchain could create a much larger cycle for ETH. He has outlined scenarios where Ethereum could eventually reach around $22,000 to $62,000.
Matt Hougan adds that major institutions remained committed even through a roughly 50% Bitcoin drawdown, with some continuing to increase their crypto allocations.
