Yuga Labs Delays NFT Reveal and Disappoints Holders

Yuga, the most-awaited NFT project from Yuga Labs, delayed its grand NFT reveal. The reveal was due to happen this week. Frustratingly, the team didn’t reveal much about the reason for their delay, nor did they re-schedule the launch. This Twitter announcement confused and disappointed fans, wondering if the Bored Ape Yacht Club creators can keep their hard-earned reputation intact.

Yuga Labs delayed the grand reveal of their long-awaited Yuga NFTs, as the team briefly announced via Twitter.

Why Did Yuga Labs Delay its NFT Drop?

It’s been a tough week for the NFT community, eager to finally see what Yuga Labs’ new project has in store. On April 24th, the founders tweeted via the official Bored Ape Yacht Club account that they would delay their highly-anticipated NFT reveal.

We’ll need more time to figure this out,’ the team wrote in a simple tweet meant as a joke.

Contrary to their light-hearted approach, the Yuga Labs team immediately received criticism from NFT traders.

‘Stop putting a deadline you never hold, guys, honestly,’ one BAYC collector replied.

Many other users shared the same attitude, while others cheered on the team.

The project roadmap suffered a delay because of unknown issues yet to be revealed by Yuga Labs.

Could Yuga’s Roadmap Suffer From a Delay too?

So far, Yuga Labs’ roadmap for their exclusive NFT project was on point – and very well received by the NFT community. In fact, their Dookey Dash game launched earlier this year caused a frenzy with users trying to win the grand prize: a digital Golden Key.

On March 29th, Yuga Labs successfully revealed the main types of HV-MTL dynamic collectibles. Accordingly, these NFTs are machines from another world – each with unique traits and designs. Although there are eight basic HV-Types, each digital asset can change and evolve.

At the time of writing, the official project roadmap says the first reveal for this NFT project will happen in May. Meanwhile, their Web3 game will launch in June. While this news is reassuring, the NFT community can’t help but wonder: is something happening to Yuga Labs?

What Else Has Yuga Labs Been Doing?

Besides their highly-anticipated Yuga NFT project, Yuga Labs scored key collaborations and other web3 launches this year. Earlier this spring, the group partnered with Gucci for new Metaverse experiences starring Gucci’s Grail NFT collection.

In addition, their other NFT project Otherside released a new chapter titled ‘Legends of the Mara.’. This new release brought new experiences for holders ready to invest more resources.

The good news doesn’t stop here: last week, Yuga Labs also won a highly-mediatized trial against Ryder Ripps, which had been ongoing for months. Overall, Yuga Labs is doing well in 2023 despite its recent delay in revealing Yuga NFTs. For now, the NFT community can only wait and see what the leading group has in store for them!
