Sotheby’s is poised to conduct its latest auction! The 3AC auction features a selection of NFTs confiscated from the bankrupt crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital. This exclusive event will bring esteemed NFTs, including Dmitri Cherniak’s highly regarded Ringers #879, affectionately known as “The Goose,” back into the spotlight for the first time since 2021.

Furthermore, the 3AC auction will take place in New York on June 15. Significantly, it will showcase 37 exceptional works from esteemed generative artists such as Dmitri Cherniak, Tyler Hobbs, Jeff Davis, and more. In a press release, Sotheby’s proudly announced that this sale will mark the largest-ever live auction of digital art.

One of the notable gems in this collection of NFTs is the renowned Ringers #879 by Dmitri Cherniak. This is a groundbreaking generative artwork that has earned the nickname “The Goose” due to its striking resemblance to the bird. Back in August 2021, 3AC co-founders Su Zhu and Kyle Davies acquired this highly coveted collectible for approximately 1,800 ETH. Notably, this amounted to a staggering value of around $5.8 million at that time. This acquisition further solidifies the exceptional quality and enduring allure of Cherniak’s masterpiece.
